It simply blows my mind that every winter the models are in different camps most of the time. Doesn't matter if its La Nina, El Nino etc. I follow the weather as a hobby and I love all types of weather but for some reason it seems like models do better and are in more agreement in the summer months with storms. Not talking tropical systems, models have a widespread there. Either way when there are pending storms, my day job productivity goes way down.

In Denville, NJ, Morris County, I’m right on the 4-8,3-6 line for sure. Once you head east down the hill route 80 towards Parsippany there will be a sharper cutoff. Smell the rain for good snow.

Have to think Vernon will do well with this storm. I’m just southeast from you in Denville. I’ll be right in the battle zone I think. Yesterday’s storm performed better and slightly colder than originally thought.

Here's my deal, son's baseball tournament on Sept. 29th-Oct. 3rd in Fort Myers and family vacation in Cancun Oct. 16th. Don't want to travel to Fort Myers with the chance of the tournament being cancelled completely or Cancun get decimated two weeks before a family vacation. Hoping the storm doesn't develop at all and spare not only my plans but all those in the threat zone.

Snow or sleet or rain; no ice, please.
We usually don’t get a ton of ice around these parts, but never say never.
Agreed, I'm just west of you. Any ice we get at times usually causes power outages in this area.

Storm or no storm I took advantage today and took down the Christmas lights. No way in hell I was going to do it in the cold.
