The NAM will probably come in with a region wide 12-18” by 12z while the other models correct north. Have no faith in the NAM

After viewing the 12z suite, I’d say Tip FTW.

Love how everyone discounts and criticizes the NAM but were all giddy and excited about the NAM after it’s zonked out 12z run

Interesting how the models are all losing the stall and tug back west. Uncle totally missed Maine even

I remember one of the tv weatherpersons saying on 2/7/78 that the storm had stalled. One of my greatest weather event memories.
Yup. I was living on Long Island. Started snowing on Sunday evening and didn’t stop until Tuesday afternoon. School canceled all week and our street wasn’t plowed until Thursday. My all time favorite!

1992 Dec did this... no clue. It stalled and actually moved W... there's other's that did this.. It's probably one of those last frontiers of forecasting technology goals
...the coveted RI in TCs...
when in god's name do lows predictively stall and back west...
Blizzard of 78!
stalled and looped in a great spot.
Also had a really strong high pressure to the north

Ground definitely underperforming radar here. Just flurries and blowing snow. Radar says otherwise
