I am in Baton Rouge.
Was there any shifts/expansions in the risk area with the 7am update?

Looks like SELA has the only tornado report of the day so far as well
Yes, there was one east of us, in Hammond.

We have gotten hammered with rain here in SELA!! It looks to have caught all of the Mets by surprise.

We had a Tornado Warning at 2:30 this morning in West Baton Rouge Parish. Pulled the radar up and my eyes popped out of my head. The hook echo passed directly over us. The clouds were insane.
The amount of people who were oblivious to it is sickening! I just did some preaching on FB. EVERYONE needs a NOAA Weather Radio and everyone needs to stop silencing their phones at night... It could make the difference between life and death next time.

That cell near Natchez is no longer Warned.

Yeah, if storms initiate right off/near the dryline around the mid-afternoon maybe, we could be in for a wild ride.
My parents, brother and many friends all live in Wills Point (VZ County). I was up there helping my mom recover from surgery during the April 2017 tornadoes and that was scary enough to last me a lifetime. I have never seen skies look like that!!

Reed Timmer is on that same cell as Brandon.

I'm curious as to how far south that line will build as it nears me in Baton Rouge...
-
The Enhanced Risk are has been expanded south to include NOLA.

Would y"all consider SELA to be safe from any threats?

I live in the SELA region, but that forum doesn't seem to have as much discussion going as this one. I hope its ok to hang out here!
Thank you to all who help contribute!!

i'm just on the fringe in Baton Rouge!

Thats some pretty big shoes to fill. The El Reno Tornado was 2.2 miles wide, which broke the record against the 2 mile wide Hallam Tornado.
Definitely anxious to see the final report! From the very few clear videos I've seen, it was a monster!

Would be first EF5 since the Moore, OK tornado of 2013. Feels like that was another century...
If so, it would put an end to the EF5 "drought" we have been in. A new record would be made if we were to make it to July 2021 without any EF5s.

This is my first post and all I can say is WOW! Such incredible information from everyone. Thank you all for what you do!
I live in West Baton Rouge Parish and am curious about the latest MD from SPC. In your opinions, do you feel my area is included in that disco, or is the east of me?

My area is under a PDS Watch but I "think" we are almost in the clear? I am in West Baton Rouge Parish.
