Hit 70 degrees here past two days. High isn’t expected to get out of the low 40’s today (may struggle to reach 40), rain with a few flakes mixed in.

Iredell County had decent icing this morning. Pine trees were bending pretty good out here in the west central area of the county. Heard lots of reports of wrecks, & evidently the northern end was pretty rough.

Observations from WNW of Statesville (Scotts community):

started as light rain yesterday evening, at 11pm when I called it a night, we had radar indicated precip but nothing was making it to the surface. Temp was right at freezing. 
 

Woke up this morning (7am) to a lot of nothing. Temp 27 °F, wind starting to pick up, clear skies. Only thing I could find was some ice frozen on the car.

Ik it will be narrow… but even as I stated earlier I think Mods are definitely underplaying the size of that band…. Bc they’re already undergoing the Bands that are currently on radar…. They don’t even have them smh

observations: 1.5 to 2 inches max, very light misty rain falling at the moment. Roads are slushy, bridges could be sketchy.

My favorite radio station. Happy you guys got your transmitter problem fixed.  Signal is still a bit sketchy in the Statesville NC area

2 hour delay for local school system here in Iredell County.  Sleet woke me up around 4:30am, when I finally got up at 6 and took the dog out it was predominately cold rain with a little sleet still mixed in.  Temp was hovering right around 32-33.  Ice on the cars, some in the trees but not much.
