Might as well start a February Mid/Long Range thread at this point. January is cooked for the Mid-Atlantic. Forget about measurable snow.
Nothing will pan out for this month.

As long as the snowpack keeps building out west for my Feb ski trip.It was never the first half of Jan. Might be a tiny window or 2 but first half is essentially the transition away from PAC crud and re establishing the cold air source to the North.
The east can torch.
I need more Western POW.

By the time it gets within 3 days time it will be over MI once again and give Buffalo another 50" off Erie.That fantasyland Jan 6+ system on the GFS is a nice storm track, that's for sure.

Not really. To your untrained eyes it looks like all snow but it's all rain for All of Va/MD.I still think that initial slug of precip could be sneaky for the western crew towards Winchester, etc and drop a few inches. I think the Cumberland to Frostburg area will be bullseye in that initial batch.
Will reset after Feb 3rd. More favorable Climo

Not this time. Or next 4 weeks. Just rain and cutters get your lawnmower ready.It was a big jump up. Surprised nobody noticed it earlier. The 10:1 is even weenier -- verbatim pushes the T line into DC.
RA/SN line gets pretty far west. Guess stranger things have happened at 48 hours.
