Big fan of this site. I know very little about weather but I do enjoy the snow. I live in the western part of Allegheny Co and I noticed with this storm, holes kept popping up in the radar in that area. I thought it was maybe a radar issue but the totals KeefRichards posted seem to match what I saw. What causes those dry spots that don't move while precipitation continues to pour in?  It's almost like there was a dome over our neighborhood.
