Knowing GRR I would say probably not
Knowing GRR they'd be more likely to downgrade this to WWA than upgrade to blizzard

miss north
Glad the models trended this one north so quickly that it’s over before I could even get interested

It's always nice to have a model spread at this range, everyone has something to root for.

18z GFS looks like a carbon copy of 12z. Hard to spot differences in track or QPF.

I guess I better get out in the yard and pick up the dog's handiwork in case it does actually snow here. Nothing worse than trying to do that after it has all melted.

Only significant-ish outliers at this point are NAM and RAP, right?
-
Glad to be on the northern fringe of this given the freezing rain implications.

Now over 8" just outside Lansing MI. Ran the snowblower through the driveway and then 400 feet of sidewalk ... may have to do that again once it winds down.

Around 6" new snow so far, just west of Lansing MI.

Relax.
RAP is notorious for being way NW / too amped in its long range.
It's mostly being posted as weenie fodder for those on the northern edge.
I disagree, the RAP shows the best snow outcome for my area, so it must be sniffing out something that all the other models are missing.

Jan 11-13th Blizzard
in Lakes/Ohio Valley
Posted
I still have the whole day to wait up in NW Lower Michigan (Traverse City).
The official forecast here is 6 to 8 inches and then lake effect into next week.
I don't care what happens as long as the lights stay on, we lost power for 4 days last summer in an intense storm and that was very painful.
