I'm just excited for another Snow Day. I'll take my "moderate chance of 2 inches" here East of STL!

I guess I have to resign myself in heavy rain because I don't want that ice. Of course, still jealous of the snow just too far north! Maybe one day St. Claire County will get snow en masse. XD

Time to find an updated ice projection...

That Euro needs to go back south. Cover St. Claire County, IL! :')

Also, some of the local schools have already closed.

Please go south, runs! If my 1" snow season total gets crushed by inches of ice and sleet, I'll be legit frozen solid in my generator-less house, jajaja...

Having these snow models trend north of my town makes me sad... and exasperated. I am not looking forward to my dream snow turn into nightmare ice. I will have an aneurysm for sure if KSTL gets far more snow than KBLV, jajaja. ;=;

I saw Steven MacLeroy stream. I thought the same when I heard those words.

I don't know the level of the watch from history, but HSV has been hit at least 2x by F4s in the 1990s time frame [1989 and 1995].

I don't have access to any of the fancy models, so I can't see 'where the east shift is.' That being said, they are still forecasting 1"-2" near STL so I am still hyped for more!

Still snowing here 1hr east of STL! Most of the flakes are small and tiny now, and the amount is clearly weening off, but it is still super incredibly windy! I plan on going out as the sun hits tomorrow via foot and checking to see how the drifts are.

There's about 5"-6" already on the ground an hour east of STL - minus whatever snow was here since last week, and we haven't even hit the morning show yet! I did wake up to the sound of a plow trying to clear the front of my street - considering it's the one the firefighters and police are on, not surprised they are trying to clear it during this temporary lull in the snowfall.

As for Combes, Texas [and McAllen] - that's my stomping grounds! Grew up there and still *technically* live there. I know for a fact ice accumulating on a trash can is newsworthy. Jajaja! Tell us a tropical storm/CAT 1 hurricane is coming and we won't bat an eye. Ice on a trashcan - that's going to stick in the memory. Anyone alive on Xmas 2004 will talk about it, but Hurricane Dolly? Pft.

1hr east of STL "report:" there is a road in this picture that was clear at 5pm today. It's all white and starting to get hard to find - I expect it to be gone and flush with the ground vertically above it by morning. 

Speaking of STL, here's a 10 min old picture of the river attempting to freeze over. Would be neat to see if the local frozen ponds can maintain their surface ice with the upcoming snow weight.

I heard the cry for lurkers to appear...

Lurker from about an hour east of the St. Louis city, and seeing that bright pink bulls eye moving slowly to my location is... Well, as a person who grew up in an island with snow a foreign word [or the precursor to the apocalypse], the amount of hype I'm feeling is beyond ecstatic!!

We still have graupel from last week hanging around - radiant heat has turned the top layer to ice, but it's still majestic to see. About 2" or so - the air not being above freezing since the 5th or so ofFeb helps. Was also a brutal -1°F, too, this morning. I've never been so cold before in my life...
