The mix line is really racing up up in to central and eastern l.i now,even coastal new England might go to rain and sleet.. just 10 miles nw from your location it's all snow..I havent had 1 sleet pellet yet up here.

It's still heavy down here.seems like there might be some subsidence and dry air coming in from the west..a lot of l.i is not snow either so if we did get the heavier stuff it would mean more mixing for us down here in the bx but it's been pure snow..4.1 inches down currently.

No sleet here just heavy snow..approaching 4 inches with heavy snow. The sleet never made it to the bx,also some of the elevation here kind of makes it a bit harder to mix most times in these situations..but boy is it snowing to beat the band..we will def reach over 6 here..

Yes it is..I just got home and its piling up really fast too..I'm near riverdale so it's all snow up here..not 1 pinger to be heard..lol..

Living in the hilly areas of the bx really does have a benefit, I've literally picked up a inch and a quarter in 55 mins and its ripping out r.n..we might in the sweet spot when it comes to accumulation up here. 2.1 inches so far 32f..

4.4 inches down and still snowing here In the northern bronx,picked back up again last 10 mins,so 5 inches is doable. Also the snow has gotten fluffier last hour or so, It's been all snow up here since it began.

All snow here in the northwestern bronx,approaching a inch already with heavy snow..31f..so far no mixing issues up here.

it will prob make a couple more shifts south and east,anything over 100+miles and we get frozen precip instead of rain keep that in mind. i actually shared a image of the water vapor loop to show what is going on with the last minute shifts.

yeah i was just thinking about the same thing, as this still has the potential to surprise many on here,just saying..skies are already getting cloudy also so i doubt the temp rises much today.

it's still digging. with the vortex already charging in. i dont think any model had the low itself diving se into the gulf of mex. unless im seeing wrong the loop tells it all.
