I probably should apologize since I think it was my post that kicked this off and I definitely didn't mean to.  Yall know I hate talking politics over here and my intent was to highlight and focus the incredible misery and suffering happening, especially to my bf's mom.  I didn't mention any politician by name, but I can certainly see how it could have been inferred.   I was just lamenting how crushed she is.  She served her country in the military and now overseas in civil service with exemplary service and now she's just....gone.  Was just talkin it out with ol' friends (you all) because it indirectly affects me because now the bf is pretty down seeing his mom so low.  It just sucks all around.  I also have friends who worked in civil service for decades, just doing their jobs and now face financial anxiety.  It just worries me.

We need a goddamn snowstorm.   Might be a come to Jesus moment for me.  And by Jesus, I mean our waiter from last week.

I appreciate this form for what it is and what you’ve made it Randy. Politics would destroy it. Snow ‘s  have bad enough meltdowns on snowstorms, politics would just be atrocious. With that said i hope your bf’s mom finds a new and rewarding job asap.

Getting close to 3 inches in southwest St. Mary’s County now. Listening to Bay101.7fm out of Kilmarnock Virginia across the Potomac in the northern neck. They use AccuWeather and they said additional 4 to 8 inches tonight.

Light snow has started in St. Mary’s County.

 Last time I saw 2 feet of snow down here was 79 and it was up to my waist the neighbors had a 8 foot drift in front of their house, almost touching the gutters. It took four days before we saw the first plow. So yes, let us know of we need to stock up tomorrow.

100% disagree.  My family will remember this week forever.  3 rounds of snow totaling 11” and still haven’t gone above freezing since Sunday.  The kids got a whole week off from school, as did my wife and I since we both teach.  Sledding, fires, plowing snow, movies, blowing snow, family dinners, atv rides, jebwalks, 5° nights, etc.

This area in general, and my family specifically, will remember this week in perpetuity.

That’s what it’s all about. That’s why most of us are here, whether we admitted or not. Thank you for that. Saw a lot of people enjoying the weather weather this week.
