  1. Hello neighbor!  I'm just south of Halls proper, nestled between Black Oak Ridge and Beaver Ridge in Hines Valley.  The roads are brined, I guess we will see how effective that is.
Hello there neighbor! Nice to meet you too! They brined the roads up here today also, I was hoping it will be effective enough to get out for work tomorrow...not that I really want to go in in this weather though, working outside some, yikes. Lol

  2. Hello Everyone and Merry Christmas! Thought I would ring in here. I live in Powell, now... north side, up on top of one of those ridges, which I have come to call "Windy Ridge" because if there is wind anywhere in the area, it is certain to blow up here and sometimes very hard... my lawn furniture can attest many times, lol... anyway finally got that new weather monitoring station installed and oddly enough, as of right right now at least, I have not any winds over 7 mph yet today... figuring that will pick up sometime soon... my elevation here sits at 1,273 feet... so, should be an interesting next 24 hours... I will chime in later with MBY obs...also it has been misting rain here for about an hour this evening and currently 44 degrees... stay safe and warm everyone!

  4. I am looking to get a new weather station for my back yard at home... just not sure on a reasonably priced one to get that has good quality...a lot of options on Amazon... but not sure which one is best... don't want to bust the bank but not a cheap one either...

Looking for good options / recommendations... before I buy one... Thanks in advance for the help!

  5. I haven't had a lot of time recently to follow here. But I just wondered where the current boundary is for the artic air/front that I have seen mentioned? Just looking at the current frontal map, it is difficult to tell exactly. I presume that it is backed up on the plateau area... but, just wondering.

  6. Maybe some of us get some radiational cooling this PM?

Wonder what our chances of staying semi-clear for a while are through the night to get some of that good radiational cooling?

Then I wonder about evaporative cooling at the onset of the precip or will any of that play any factor in this current upcoming scenario?
