Just looked at radar and there is a lot of mesoscale banding taking place over PA. We should see this lessen as the coastal low takes over. Right now the radar is showing snow over southern and central ny. When I looked at the 00z runs I saw no major changes from the 12z or 18z. It looks like the snowfall forecast will stay where it is. Friday afternoon LES should start to set up SE -E of Lake Ontario. causing 6-8 inches with 12-24 inches in spots. The weekend will be very cold. The high pressure over the Saint Lawrence Valley will cause temps to fall Sunday Overnight temps could reach -30 to -40 in some spots.

About the same here... 3.8" officially. That was about what I expected and also as expected it did get it's act together for a better hit in the snow magnet of Southern NE.

Let's hope we can get a coastal plain or hugger track next week, but not so far west that we get screwed in reverse.

Finally starting to look like winter around here thumbsupsmileyanim.gif
