Gorgeous and sunny up in northern Maryland but my day for smoking a butt is Monday so chilly, damp and dreary may be the order of the day for that activity then too.

Hope weather stays good for ya. Actually turned out ok here today although wind can be tad chilly.

I’ve gotten away from smoking bbq compared to how much did back in the day, but when food lion runs them for .99/lb during holiday I figured why not. Otherwise I’d be just using the crock pot lol

0.43” on the month at DCA.  If we get less than .32” over the next few days, it’ll be the 2nd driest May on record.  Currently -6” on the year.

Turned out to be a rather pleasant afternoon down here , some clouds mixed with blue skies , all be it rather disappointing to see the rain as far west as southern Indiana and not a single drop here.. less monthly rain than DCA here..

Phenomenal weather so far this weekend. Just got some mtb in, staycation style. Feels good to be on the northern side of an upper level low instead of getting cloud scraps from those northern stream vorts. What’s surprising is dews are still on the low side up here.

June 8 or so?

Probably about right, maybe a little sooner. Looks like NS energy dropping down from eastern Canada around mid next week, so maybe some decent lift along a cold front, plus the GFS and CMC are hinting at some sort of a subtropical low off the SE coast.

That would be most welcome. Maybe better shot for you. Northern MD still seems to be missing systems in all directions (too north this weekend - too west others - too south others). We only seem to get rain here with frontal passages. Would love to see some actual lows track and bring area wide moisture at some point. Still feels like the pattern from last winter is holding up this way in terms of moisture.
