Dense fog with a heavy marine layer, 43 degrees.  Hope Brian over in TH is enjoying it as much as I am.

Tue-Thur sun and 60's!  Will feel much appreciated.

Lol, better than 3' of snow. Yeah, typical weather around the big pond as things begin to warm. NE MN is full of swamp, too, so dense fog is common all over this region. Some thunder developed over the lake, and moved through last night with 0.1" of rain. Nice to see, and hear Spring. Temps looking good this week with a little "cooler by the lake" as usual. "Skeeters" will be robust this year, as well. They're usually not bad in town, thankfully, but flies are the pits. At least they're easier to kill until it's over 80F, then they get real speed. Skeeter buzzing your head at 0 dark 30, and trying to smack that SOB (seeing stars sometimes when you miss LOL) is a real pain.

As already mentioned, no one said the first half of May would be cold. Larry Cosgrove was the closest, and even he predicted that the pattern would break by 5/9.

That said, the first week of May has certainly been cold relative to average, which was expected by most.

wouldn't call a +1.6 departure cold relative to average, but that's me.

This was taken yesterday from my front porch well after the initial storms had passed.

Nice!

Finished with 1.67" here, a hearty soaking.  Just south of here they got 3-4".

Temp only made it to 63 here today with spits of drizzle under a heavy overcast.  29 degrees cooler than yesterday.

35 for the overnight low with another beautiful day on tap in the mid-60's for highs.  Snow down to patches except in the swamps where it's still a foot.

Finally feels like Spring is really here.  Summer will fly and the snow will be back before ya know it.

Really? I thought it took forever.
interesting fact tho: during the storm the temp hovered around 32 at night, 33 during the day. As soon as the snow ended, temp quickly rose to 35 and it has not been back below freezing since. It really was winters last gasp.

already 63 with very light winds. Feels like a lake breeze will develop.

Because your listing cities on the eastern edge of my chart range, thought I'd put this one up. Those charts are closer to the eastern US profile, and what I have is much closer to those for April.

Man this site is a morgue tonight lol.

High quality evening to be sure.  Have had thunder pretty much continuous for the past 7 hours, with at least another few to go.  The light show has been top notch several times throughout the evening.

Up to 0.69" for the evening as brief downpours have slowly added up.

Quite quiet

A few fields around here have corn up now.  The first step to our 80 degree dews in about 40 days from now lol.

And then we are complaining it’s so hot outside and we can’t wait for fall. And the deadly cycle begins lol.
