So I guess your going with the lower totals too. Finished with .29 yesterday. I have 044 for the month so far. Last month for May total was .55.

I am a big modeler and models have been back pedaling for several days now.  The Nam suggests some people would see less than 1/4" so that is not encouraging.  The GFS is even worse.   I had a nice rain in early May and it has been totally zero (2 T's) since then.

Temps should warm to near normal today after yet another below normal low this morning...some low spots across the county touched the 40's this AM. Tomorrow should be the only above normal day until later in the upcoming work week. Rain chances finally look likely as we move into Sunday night through Monday. As always the models show a variety of options. These include as little as 0.25" to as much as 1.25" on the European Model. Fingers and toes crossed we get some much needed rain. After today we will be approaching a rain deficit of nearly 8" so far this year!
Records for today: High 94.7 (2008) / Low 37 (1972) / Rain 2.13" (2013)

Skies are much bluer this morning, finally.  I know the smoke might return, but hopefully not for a while.

It's 77 degrees now with a dewpoint of 50.  Still dry!  Picked up 0.06" late yesterday afternoon, but it didn't last long.  Low this morning was 47.7...another low in the 40's.    Month-to-date precip a plaltry 0.15".  YTD 13.18".  That's at least 5" below normal.

Fireworks banned in York for 30 days.

How many fireworks will this actually deter? There is a higher correlation between those who set off tons of fireworks and those with the YOLO life outlook than in the normal population. It might make a small dent in fireworks but no major dent will be made unless they start hauling people off the jail which is not happening or will ever.

With most of that falling in one day most likely (like me).    Mowing has effectively been shut down.

Yeah had a .34 the one event but most others numbers are like a .03 here and a .06 there.

Encouraged that the Nam has stopped its back slide and is a pretty decent rainer Monday.  This is not a drought buster, but I am worried for my yard and our farmers and this would go a long way to helping there.   Eastern PA widespread .5 to 1.5 rains.  Decent west of there as well.

That bottom panel - that is a nasty line!

Duncannon has issued a water emergency. First I’ve seen, more to come I’d suspect.
I myself have declared the "if it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down" policy myself. Water is becoming scarce.
