What option you going with?

Same answer as yesterday, unsure.  LOL.  Just reading the models right now.   With the chilly snap possibly coming late week I am going to go with May wrapping up its BN status.   MDT was presented with a chance to have a decent AN day yesterday and sputtered in at 1/2 degree AN.

So you are saying we'll have to wait for input from DT as to how next weekend will turn out?

Pretty warm yesterday...it is the lows that are surprising this late spring.   The calls for early summer were just off base.

Probably in the mid 90's we went camping up to Sullivan County at Almost Heaven Campground for Memorial Day weekend in a pop-up. We left here from home the temp was a hot 92. Well on the way up we listened to the weather and a cold front was going to come through later on Saturday. Well we weren't prepared for that so we scrambled and went to yard sales to find winter clothes. The temp when we woke up on Sunday morning dropped to 26 and the water hose to the pop up was froze. and the temp only got into the low 60's the rest of the weekend up there. A not an enjoyable weekend to say the least up there.

The last 20 years have been the wettest 20 years on record by wide margin. What you might see is more extreme swings but overall wetter.

The LSV has just had a penchant of going dry in May, June and July recently.   As far as agriculture is concerned it could not be worse timing.

Absolutely. It’s feast or famine which overall is awful for everyone. Winter was this way - very very warm or extreme record cold for a few days.

Today looks to be our only above normal temperature day of the week. Overall temps looks to stay near to slightly below normal as we have a good chance to finish with our 1st below normal temperature month of the year and first since our below normal December 2022. Dry weather all work week but it looks a bit unsettled by the 2nd half of Memorial Day weekend.
Records for today: High 95 (1941) / Low 34 (1963) / Rain 2.59" (1915)
