Voyager, I never thought I would see roads worse than Pennsylvania; then I drove on I-17. My god, if it wasn't a rental car I'd feel the need to get my suspension checked

26.1 degrees for my low this morning.  Exactly what was shown from your RGEM map.   So, the GFS gives us a mini heat wave later this week, and then completely reverses course and sends us back down to the 30's.  Wow.  Regardless, it looks like a string of beautiful days upcoming for the first half of this week.  Normal high for me on the 14th is 62 with a low of 38.  On the 19th it has risen to 64/40.  So, 20+ above for the highs, but less than 10 below (departures) for the lows.

Happy Easter everyone!

Happy Easter,   The GFS has been backing off the "ring of fire" threat (long term at least) for several runs now...the GFS depiction is really pinned on the backdoor/ULL low scenario.  There will be some snow in PA in that type of solution.

I go up the there at least once a week. You should feel that section in a tractor trailer. But yes, Arizona roads (outside of Phoenix) are in much worse shape than in PA.

Visit Louisiana then compare …

Louisiana has always been bad, but the section he's talking about on I-17, the top layer of blacktop has peeled off of the concrete base in big sheets for about 30 miles. It's an incredibly rough ride. So bad that ADOT temporarily dropped the speed limit 10 mph.

THAT was good stuff! :)

(don't tell Blizz) I'm going all in on our next weather statement from CTP:

"The National Weather Service in State College, Pennsylvania has issued a...Drought Watch for the following areas...in south central Pennsylvania...Marysville. The Drought Watch is in effect until indefinitely. Hazards: No rain, low streams, tinder lawns and brush. Brush fires may result. Please stay tuned for updates and possible warnings."

So we have:

ITT-6

Blizz-1

Rou-0

I should be mowing but I'm taking care of my wife. She had a knee replacement on Last Wednesday. Tomorrow starts physical therapy I hr every other day for the next 3 weeks at least. Dr said she should be able to start driving again in 2 weeks. Being a care giver wears you out. And to make matters worse I'm not a person who likes to be cooped up in the house. So the outdoor work is on hold for awhile till she recovers. And goes back to work.
