that ridge next weeks is oddly deflated looking ...

but, yeah ...the GFS appears to be holding down the hydrostatic heights about 12 dm lower than the Euro.   the models has a cool bias in that range - not sure if that pertains to that metric as well... but one model looks 80-like, while the other is trying to shirk it down to 73

For those with snow still on the ground - flip a coin?. But for the rest of us, I’ll take the odds that this is our warmest day since October.

It’ll be my warmest day even after it mixes out post cold frontal passage.

That's so awesome.  Man you nailed this trip. Enjoy

You see the size of these avalanches that buried Highway 210 in LCC?  They’ll be digging for days.

“Seven-day totals of snow water equivalent are 4.3 to 5.7 inches of water in the Cottonwoods.”

Jesus GFS EURO EPS GEFS have another cold atmospheric river event next weekend for Sierras Wasatch with close to 2 inches qpf of course more in the highest els. This after a thaw this week coming up. I mean not out of the question 3 to 4 more feet.

Could be a quite a string of days ... Mon - Thurs

Days featuring low RH air type, open skies through which rising April sun encourages boundary layer heights to expand into the +10 C 875 mb range.  Probably 72 to 82 those daily afternoons.  Wind isn't bonkers, either...

GGEM was mid 80s but ... in deference to April I'll back burner that thinking.
