I'm just happy that the GFS is digging in its heels. something has to give, and it doesn't seem to be the GFS right now

we can work with the GFS for sure at 7 days out. brings significant wintry precip and it still has a lot of issues

I suspect what’s going on there with these runs that are further east is that they are prematurely detonating sfc responses along that incredible baroclinic interface thats gonna exist along EC.  Then running up the coast and running away with everything before the best Q vector forcing even catches up with them so we end up with these dual centers

I can envision something similar to this, I don't think your going to get or even want the way it looks right now a totally closed wrapped up stacked system or it will end up in MI with the trough position.
