The high was 39 today. First high in the 30s probably since the March snow event.

The high for tuesday was shortly after midnight at 38.4 while falling to the low 30s by morning.  During the early evening I managed to crack 37 before falling back to 36 and staying there til now. I noticed some flurries flying this morning but didn't experience any accumulation. If Big A or Clinch mountain saw anything I may take a picture or two in the morning with things cleared out.

Nice heavy rains here in Morgan County. Hopefully this holds together for y’all further east.

After a few spotty showers earlier, a nice moderate rainfall ongoing here as well. Looks like what Holston is getting is heading my way too. Hopefully it goes all the way into Virginia and North Carolina.

Sure hope it makes it up this way. Breezy out with low rh.  currently 48%.

We've had a good hour and a half or so of moderate to heavy at times rain. It's down to light rain now but it's still coming down steady.

Since I made that post the rain has picked back up and it's been a good moderate soaker for the last 20 minutes.

Got .55 from that. Probably finished off quite a few trees but it was a nice, multi hour soaker.

0.52in of rain from this system today and yesterday. For me, that’s more than I’ve had in over a month from any 1 system.

The strong easterly winds had really put the kabash on Totals in the great Valley. Imagine if those mountains weren't there .?.. probably would have Totals of 1-2 inches within the Valley already.

      Side note; Nicole circulation a bit further west than progged track. Sitting over SWNC/SETN Border at Noon.

Progressed to a full on snow shower now. 30.2 degrees.

Currently 29.7 with light snow showers. This marks my first accumulation for the season.

If the mountains were not there, winters would be much better in East Tenn. However the Carolina cliff diving would be even worse, lol!

Ended up with what my grandpa always called a "chestnut log" snow. Where the logs and raised surfaces are white but the ground isn't. Sitting at 31 right now with a cold North wind at around 12.

NW Flow managed to bring a few bands this way today. We are visiting family in NC but the ring doorbell looks nice and cold.

Just a few lt flurries here last night. 32.5 currently. KMRX busted too high on Temps, not surprisingly.

Made it 30.4° for about 5 mins, back to 28°

 

Can't believe Saturday morning it was in the mid 50s lol Going on 25 hours below freezing

We live in Erwin, Tn area. 2000ft!
