I have seen more CFS posts, this season, than any time prior so I guess we are clear to post some CFS snow maps?  :-).  This is snow depth as a coastal forms in the base of a transitory trough on Monday, Dec 11th.  First "op" I have seen that shows much of any ground truth in the next 10-15 days.

The 0z EPS continues to show the Greenland block established by day 10 and further entrenched by day 15, with troughing developing in the east.

Our Winter Storm window should be wide open once this advertised pattern sets up.

Those maps are drool-worthy Blizz. Hope what's depicted verifies. I'll take my chances with a look like that.

The HRRR is suggesting some areas of the LSV see +20MPH sustained winds tomorrow (and very warm to boot).

Might get 12 hours of gusts into mid 40s.

Granted, wind isn't as "exciting" as snow and some other weather events, but still...I do not recall having the amount of higher level windy days years ago as we've had over the past 10 years or so. Just seems like we're constantly talking about wind advisories and warnings.
