If 66 and sun is chilly to you . You are showing your age . That’s shorts with a light pullover in the shade

Be a stretch for you to hit 66F at your house on Friday given how it looks right now.

I’d think low 60s at best, 40s at night.  It could be enough for some to see the heat come on.

Box is only 61 here in the valley on Friday.

Upton has 64 for HVN and a -5 departure Fri after near record heat that comes right back..

Temperatures ahead of the front will be 5 to near 10 degrees above normal, and around 5 below normal Thursday night into Friday behind the front. However, at this time no temperature records are expected to be broken. CAPE and instability will be mostly elevated Wednesday night and Thursday, with CAPE peaking 500-1000 J/kg. Forcing will be moderate. Therefore, used isolated thunder coverage.

High pressure dominates into Sunday, moving offshore with a return flow setting up and temperatures returning to above normal.

My guess is 57 here Friday . Certainly a nice fall day, but nothing  the hills don’t see every September at least one time every year .

Now if there actually was a freeze as some circles had .. that would be very noteworthy

57 is rare in Sept under full sun. Usually you need precip for highs in the 50s in September. If we end up with more clouds, could easily be like low 50s.

Hilltops in SNE don’t freeze that early. It would be the earliest freeze on record at ORH airport if that happened.

All very true. Completely agree . A very nice fall airmass but nothing incredible
