Phl +3.4 for July was the highest in nws Phl area and twice as warm a Wilmington and acy. The uhi  warm bias started last November per mt holly met

You have to take a look at both the min an max temperatures and departures. The difference between KPHL and KPNE for the daily July highs and departures was very small. The minimums were where there was a larger spread. Kudos to the local NWS office for whatever investigation they are  doing. That is more than we can say about NYC which has had much bigger errors since the 1990s.

July

PHL…max…90.5….+2.7……min…73.7….+4.1

PNE…max….90.4….+2.2….min….71.5….+2.1

For some reason everyone seems to know better than the actual Mt. Holly mets.  We should tell them to cancel their investigation.

Definitely more clouds made it to 97 before partly cloudy conditions.  Is Tony still at Mt Holly?

The eventual hung up boundary is visible in EPA, we'll see how far southeast that gets later Friday and Saturday and how far west the W.AR pushes west.   Still think we can get some soakers in the drier areas too.

Hovering between 95/97 here.  More clearing moving in so still a shot at 100 between 245 / 5.

Don't recall the sea breeze pushing this far west so often in previous summers...winds ese now temp down a couple to 94°.

Yeah I’m feeling a little bit of the breeze out here right now, it’s a small relief.

& the Doctor who's been the NJ Climatologist for 30 yrs. Unfortunately what's clearly obvious here is the warmers are just a bad at separating their personal bias as the deniers.

OMG the tree canopy the tree canopy yet they bury their heads in the sand when it comes to the garbage coming out of Newark.

If the NWS finds Newark’s readings to be in error at least it’ll be fixed, not sure if they adjust any records but Central Park is a known issue with no solution in sight.

As dry as it’s been I don’t think Newark’s readings are divorced from reality, but what do I know.
