This may be the first time that NJ had 100° readings with a rotating severe supercell moving across Long Island during the same hour.

The drought around our area (ewr, somerset and New Brunswick) is obviously allowing us to soar with temps

Once the forcing from the sea breeze front goes away so do the storms. Unfortunately it’s why the south shore/east end often get so dry this time of the year.

I may of gotten the flash flooding on Monday but that doesn't compare to severe storms or destruction!

0.18” at my PWS. Meanwhile my job came very close to (minor) flooding. The water made it under the doors, very nearly spilling inside. The rainfall total wasn’t anything spectacular but the rate was extreme, the water had nowhere else to go.

80/77 now with sun. Steam bath.
