Heat Advisories are hoisted if the HI is expected to reach 100 or greater, but less than 105. If the HI is expected to exceed 105, an Excessive Heat Warning is issued.

HRRR has the the lower areas of the LSV and low lands to my west getting into the mid 90's.  90 for the tops here.   I am at 76/67 right now.  MDT 78/66 right now.

80 here at 11.  I think my BN streak is toast.  90 is still a bit of a question.   MDT 83.4 about to break to 84. They are the same as yesterday at this time.   A bit of a surprise there.

The rise has slowed a bit - 87 here. MDT still seems a bit low as you were inferring.

We are banging 82/70 now.  I was just out for 10 min and staying in the shade it is really not too bad.   Weekend is going to be much worse I fear.

I went to lowes around 10am and came the back way through blue ridge summit.  Nice drive and never hit above 80 on car thermometer
