2022 Spring/Summer Mountains Thread

Thunderstorms over night finally brought enough rain to wash down the pollen.

The models suggest that an unsettled pattern may persist the next couple of weeks.

Hopefully we get some decent rain this weekend. River and stream water levels are slightly low to very low for this time of year depending on location. Next week looks hot and dry possibly too.

The rain was welcomed. Hopefully the unsettled pattern the models suggest continue. Flows are decreasing in our streams it appears. The Southern mountains could use a good soaking over several days.

The severe warned storm east of Weaverville has some decent rotation. I got a decent shot of the bottom of the anvil from Pig n Grits in Burnsville. 87dbd2d5ace7a93477d3d2bbf6dd3c28.jpg9d3ce8882abf8d12d8151caa51f47ebf.jpg2bc38c19f1576fd794850d4058fa6820.jpg

Very impressive storm, I saw mammatus here and it had a big hail core right over the crest of the Blue Ridge
