I was thinking the same thing. Ours is obviously being buoyed by the ocean as that mirrors the ocean temp, but dews drop hard to below 50 once you reach even Charlotte.

So Cen AL is in a "dry" dewpoints slot? They're higher east & west of here. I didn't know east GA & SC were 60+ too.

So, what, 8 simultaneous tor warns in LA right now?

That makes me wonder if our squall line/QLCS could line up tornado warnings along an even-longer stretch of the line.

Although associated with a much stronger storm system, I recall how the squall line/QLCS on October 26, 2010 had almost-continuous tornado warnings across almost the entire north-south extent of Indiana and Ohio as it crossed eastern IN and western OH.  The tornadoes that occurred that day were also embedded within the main squall line/QLCS.

I do wonder if something similar could happen with our QLCS across Mississippi today (maybe not the entire north-south extent of the state).  10/26/2010 had a 15% hatched tornado risk too (albeit much further north); the high risk was only for wind.  I'm not saying that 10/26/2010 is an analog for today (that was a historic storm that occurred further north); I'm rather referring to the manner in which the tornadoes occurred that day.

Seems there was already some pretty significant (probable) tornado damage in Springdale, AR.

Yes both Springdale and Fayetteville. I've been looking at the damage myself. Several businesses and an elementary school was trashed. Minor damage also occurred by the NWA Mall and Razorback Movie Theater. a country club was heavily damaged along with dozens of trees and a destroyed cell tower up the road. I will post up a couple pics after awhile.

Big tornado outbreak and once again people can log into their local NWS pages.

I might buy the inevitable "Russia musta hacked us!" excuse if it hadn't been happening off and on for many months.  And even if it actually is, agencies have been instructed for several years now to upgrade their cyberdefenses.  "What would you say you do here?"

There was a lot of extensive damage around the Nilfisk Plant & Warehouse with debris lofted and deposited across much of the Springdale Municipal Airport across the road. There was also some impressive scenes with many trees and fence posts twisted and ripped clean out of the ground. The Malco Razorback Theater below the mall also sustained damage along with a large cell tower that was destroyed.

I've been to Springdale once and met a few people there through my work. It was a cute, prosperous, bustling little town. It definitely sucks to see this.

Hopefully they'll have a smooth and speedy recovery.

Looking like it will, discrete looks unlikely at this point.

The temps definitely warmed up with the very strong southerly winds but the dewpoints never increased. Last time they at least got close to 60 but today in Bham the temp briefly got to 55 before falling back to 52. Even right now with rain nearby its only 54. But I did hear that the low moisture content could make straight line winds worse than otherwise.
