Upstate/Eastern New York-Springtime?

Lek for the win again? Lol Obviously can't take these numbers at face value, NWS only going up to an inch for higher elevations..But wherever heavy precipitation winds up tomorrow morning, could have a little surprise..

Sunday a deep mid level trough will cross the eastern Great Lakes,
eventually closing off into a progressive closed low moving from
eastern NY late Sunday into New England Sunday night. At the
surface, weak low pressure will move from Ohio tonight east across
Pennsylvania Sunday before moving off the southern New England coast
Sunday night and yielding to secondary cyclogenesis well off the
east coast. Abundant moisture and large scale forcing with the mid
level trough and surface low will produce periods of mostly
light rain and wet snow across the region Sunday.

The most concentrated area of rain and wet snow is likely to focus
across Central NY and southern portions of the eastern Lake Ontario
region from late morning through the afternoon Sunday where DPVA and
frontogenesis will focus just downstream of the closing off mid
level low. Higher precipitation rates and associated evaporative
cooling and cooling the column from melting processes may force a
change to all wet snow for a few hours in the middle of this band of
precipitation. Farther west, chilly northwest flow will also produce
an area of upslope enhanced precipitation along the Chautauqua Ridge
Sunday.

As far as snow accumulations go, the higher terrain of the
Chautauqua Ridge and Boston Hills may see 1-2" of slushy
accumulation. The Tug Hill may see 2-3" of accumulation. Most lower
elevations will see little or no accumulation where temperatures
will be several degrees warmer. The one exception may be from
eastern Wayne to Oswego counties where precipitation rates may force
a chance to all snow and suppress surface temperatures to allow for
a coating to an inch of slush.

Nothing says "spring" in upstate NY like a couple of inches of slush....

Can’t say I’m missing the wet slush.

83F and sunny in Honolulu, enjoying a cold kona beer on the balcony while the wife takes a nap. No skin in the UNC-Duke game but I enjoy sports so that’s on as well haha

the weather networks April forecast says mostly a wetter and below average month but stresses that averages are quickly going up so by mid-late April even below normal is still mid 40s to low 50s

Yeah definitely, wasn't expecting much Imby but I'd still take it over rain lol Starting to slush up on the deck which is probably the best we'll do..

Started with White Rain early this morning, then changed to wet snow with a slush coating in places, then drizzle for a couple hours early this afternoon, and now back to snow as this banding moves in from the north. Perhaps we'll get another covering this evening.

Moderate snow here. Starting to coat grassy and elevated surfaces. 34 degrees.

btw it was wonderful being in Florida for the last 10 days. As much as I love the snow being in the warmth and sunshine was even better. Sorry TugHillMatt and Rochester Dave, I’m on BuffaloWeather and Syrmax side with this one. We loved it so much we’re looking into jobs down there for once our boys are adopted later this year and likely moving down there the end of this year or early next year.

To each their own. :)  I do find you "Let it be heavy snow or all heat" guys interesting though...lol. Dave and I are the true winter freaks. :P

Humidity is my least favorite weather condition ever. Hate it. I actually enjoyed the week I spent in Florida during winter break a few years ago. Very low humidity combined with the lower sun angle made for very nice weather. But 7 months of heat and high humidity sounds like torture to me.

If you move to Florida and post pictures by the pool everyday I'm going to have to move too. For instance today I went to the gym, cleaned the house, and watched netflix. If I was in a warm climate I could be doing a million other things. Beach, pool, hiking, sports, etc....We lose so much time here.

Jeb walks in heavy snow and jeb walks in high heat/humidity are very close for me in terms of likeability, especially the ones at night in summer.
