Seems to be a bit of confusion at NWS Chicago.   "Radar confirmed" tornado warning issued for the Oak Brook area and shortly thereafter cancelled.  Was there an actual touchdown?  Tag said "observed."

It was radar confirmed which means there must have been debris showing up and it could have been brief leading to cancelation.

That Oak Brook storm is now listed as tornado in the LSR.

Edit:  apparently already surveyed.  EF-0 with a path length just under 2 miles long.

Also had a 2nd EF-0 tornado in the LOT cwa.

Ended up on the supercell t'storm near Dwight, IL yesterday afternoon. It did have a lowering for a while, and also had some visual rotation for a while (In addition to a couplet on radar as well). However, it never did tighten up and strengthen enough to produce a tornado. A few pictures of this t'storm are below. Ended up messing around with a few other severe t'storms after the aforementioned initial intercept, but did not end up with anything noteworthy.

This makes it the second consecutive year that there’s been a tornado within 15 minutes of home.

what were the rain totals in some of those storms? Heaviest rains in a 45 minute span I've seen in sometime. My decorative frog rain  gauge had over 2.5" in it. But the water was flowing fast and furious through the yards.
