Here’s the radar grab from that one at its peak. The band formed 5-10 miles west of the spine here as the convergence from the valley met the hills . The winds aloft were 50 knots out of the WNW. So what looked like heavy heavy snow over the valley was deposited in a very narrow hilly area . You can see the same process happened east of here as it is lower elevation and deposited on the hills east . A very rare and fascinating occurrence and case study.

You guys did. I recall, . I bet you woke up and saw the snow we had and you didn’t .. that was falling over your head and deposited here.. and got angry. At least for a few minutes,

I'm not sure I've ever been angry about not getting 5" of snow on March 23rd.

Scooter didn’t get any snow from either one in S Wey. :scooter:

Boxing day was good where scooter was. CF nailed them and up into BOS. Firehose storm was about 15” where I was working in BOS at the time but I think Logan airport had closer to 12-13”.

You’re talking Boxing Day 2010 right? That was a good one for BOS. They had the CF jackpot.

You might be thinking of 12/29/12 which was a lot of rain there and we had 8-10” over the interior. There was also a storm a few days before that on 12/26-27/12 that was a snow to ice situation over the interior but mostly rain on the coast.

Ahh yes. I called you like when you see those signs about “need help call the samaritans”  before you go over the Bourne Bridge.
What a disaster.

12/29/12 had a killer rain snow line. driving through Boston (rain) then 24S and 140S was basically the rs line. longitude helped a bit at my old house..but ftl where I live now. iirc, about 3-4" down in Acushnet

Yeah I remember the south coast started to flip while I was rain in Boston. It was like a marine middle finger was pivoting over the city.

Boxing Day 2010 was probably the peak of my weather anger. 2010/2011 in general had me shook and shaking with rage

That was a secretly triggering season in far SE MA. I remember feeling bad for Phil on the cape. At least they got a great December storm.
