finally nice to know what a death band is,  Can't say I've been under one like this ever before with temps in the teens out.  Usually it's around 30F when we get these storms.

Enjoy.

I'll wait my turn again...Methuen is still in a rebuilding mode following the 2017-2018 title run.

S shore/E CT dynasty continues....I was just hoping to Nick Foles my way into one.

Well, it seems the area(s) in Blizzard Warning are verifying.
In the next hour or two the radar returns "should" mushroom to the N and W. It might not be indicative of what is actually falling in terms of rates.
Been here done this before. 12" reports now turn into 18-24" when all is said and done.
Just enjoy it for now, critique when it's over.

Kinda stuck rotting in the 20 dBZ outskirts. Not terrible rates, but the snowgrowth isn't very good.

That's been the story down here too (seems like with the orientation, we are kind of band buddies for this one). Anything west of the 395 band has been poor snow growth. If that picks up, maybe some quick damage can be done.

1045 AM Update...

Minor adjustments in the latest update. Really tried to hone in
on the impressive mesoscale band from roughly RI into SE MA
extending to Cape Ann. Can kind of see where the two bands set
up earlier per the SPC Mesoanalysis 850-700 hPa Fgen, but really
only one band per current radar at this point as the one
further west appears to have collapsed. Within this band
we are getting snowfall rates of 1-4" per hour at times and it
is here where the highest totals are anticipated. Thinking there
could be some isolated 30+ inch totals within the band.
Remainder of the forecast looks good and have just brought
things in line with the latest obs.

Yea, a big pivot in. Similar to what happened out here December 2018 is all I can think of. I'm on the edge of their 8-12" and 18-24" (no 12-18" zone?) and I'm looking at 4.5" currently.

There's a 12-18 zone, it looks odd because of where they put the numbers, we're in the 12-18

The problem is Methuen  now considers itself to be a small market team.....it's no longer interested in spending money to retain or acquire top tier talent...Those south shore cities and towns aren't afraid to go over the luxury tax..

When this is all done the citizens of Methuen  can say "we were only a foot away from an historic storm"
