Light tiny snowflakes falling here. 32 degrees in Newtown.

If anyone feels like an ELI5, why would snowflakes be tiny when it’s 32 degrees?

I thought snowflakes tend to be larger because they tend to be stickier (and thus more likely to attach to other snowflakes) when falling through the air at warmer temps like 32 degrees.

accumulating?  snowing hard?  I'm flying in tomorrow afternoon because my flight to Boston was cancelled.

Sorry meant to include sticking to all surfaces. Maybe half inch or so so far. Snow is moderate.

Not sure how best to upload a photo taken from my phone. Seems it's always too large

I do love fake news for fun...just saw ABC National News as always leading with " life threatening storm" impacting blank million people in the mid atlantic and Northeast....they really do have a checklist!!

Or my favorite headline currently on Drudge "Boston's biggest snowfall ever?"

Atmospheric turbulence bashes them to bits.

That is strange. I thought you had more elevation (over 400 ft.), although in this case I don't think it has much to do with elevation.

Some of Glen Mills does have elevation. Glen Mills School sits at over 400 ft. I'm about a mile away and I'm down around 250 ft. It's pretty hilly around me. Not complaining -- I'll take what I can get! -- but I've always wondered about what process creates that variability in such a close range.

Very light snow at the moment and hanging right at 31F.

Wind driven snow, approaching moderate, at Hard Rock casino in Atlantic City….impressive start here.

Man you picked a great spot to chase. Hit the casinos and walk out on the boardwalk to experience blizzard conditions. Sounds like a great time. Hope you have a good time!

Chadds Ford Township is the same exact way.

Is the HRRR ever right?  Looks impressive for far southeastern PA

For totals, I still wouldn't trust it as far as I could throw it, but for precip location and banding during an approaching storm, absolutely.  Just my opinion from over the years.
