Absurd. It's f*cking raining.  Granted, we need the rain.

Ok well now that I’m in the red stuff it’s the weirdest mix of enormous flakes and sleet. Much easier to drive in but I should probably go back north and get into the snow.

Its really heavy but doesnt come out that way on camera. Still epic stuff

...AN AREA OF HEAVY SNOW WILL AFFECT PARTS OF
ONTARIO...LIVINGSTON...
WYOMING...ORLEANS...WAYNE...GENESEE...MONROE...NIAGARA...AND
NORTHERN ERIE COUNTIES...

HAZARDS...An area of EXTREMELY heavy snow which can rapidly reduce
visibility to less than a quarter of a mile. This area of heavy snow
is producing extremely heavy snow at the rate of over 4 inches
inches per hour.

LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 1250 AM EST, the leading edge of the
heavy snow was from Niagara Falls to Brockport moving north at 20
MPH.

Got up about 10 minutes ago to decide if I want to bother with going to work. Maybe 1”/hr here currently.

Looking at Radar and all you guy’s reporting the 2-4” snow just to my south and moving north. Nah no thanks, no driving today . But what I did notice and I don’t recall who said it but the snow sounds crunchy/icey as it’s falling .

Wow in the couple minutes typing this things have exploded in the snowfall rate dept….

It is strange. I hear it, but it looks just like snow, and I don't see any pellets bouncing off surfaces.

Yeah same here, just looking outside it looks like snow but I can definitely hear something, it's just not sleet or graupel lol I'm also getting some bigger flakes mixing in..

Awesome! Who saw you doing better than me. Goes to show you never can tell!

Yeah... I'm sure ROC will definitely outperform here though lol. Our rates will definitely be dropping off here before long. Maybe end up around 8" possibly.
