I think the entire valley is going to basically flash over change at the same time. Can see the CC wrapping around in a circle around KMRX. Probably still a couple hrs from any switching.  Hrrr has me switching between 3-4am going to try my best to get a couple hours of restless sleep before haha

Exactly my thought. Eastern/Central Valley will require patience tonight but that was a given

I noticed some snow pings in the moutains east of knox so it is definitely cooling down upstairs.

I appreciate all of the obs posts and analysis.  I'm currently in south knox about 2 miles from downtown.  Hanging around 40 degrees.  I reckon I'm gonna have to stay up for this one.  Seems too good to be true!

Same approach here. I can’t shake the feeling Mother Nature has sold me some snake oil.

Left Spring Hill with 2-2.5". The drive up 65 to 440 wasn't terrible; however, I got the impression TDOT wasn't fully tapping into their copious salt supply. As a former TDOT employee, the road quality tonight baffled me. Too many cars in ditches south of the 65/840 intersection.

12:18 a.m. in Ooltewah currently sitting at 41° with light rain. Son in law lives on Signal Mtn. They have a mixed bag at 35°.

They should do well up there. We are always a crapshoot here but I guess I'll ride it out and see what transpires. We are off until the 10th so I'll have time to makeup my lost sleep.

Stovepipe, save me a drink!

According to Google maps, everything south and east of Nashville is slow, including the interstates.

Hard to tell but it looks like it’s snowing on the Rockwood TDOT cam

The RadarScope precip depiction has evidently lagged obs a bit tonight, but it's showing the changeover occurring beyond the plateau roughly at a line from Soddy Daisy up to maybe Caryville.  I think it's happening.

On camera #2 at Rockwood there’s a wreck on the interstate
