Steve said that ORD would beat Detroit by 20” I think Detroit is up by 12”. Lmao

Thru 3/30:

ORD 32.4"

DTW 43.0"

ORD will need one Helluva April storm to pull that off lol.

Question for Chicago peeps, I guess mainly Alek or mimillman. Any of you guys who live along the lakeshore downtown keep records? Just curious if downtown may have actually beaten ORD this year. Obviously usually ORD wins but my brother who lives there noted a few times he got more than ord. Usually he gets less.

I think downtown may indeed have beaten ORD.  Just going off of memory though with some of those events that had more near the lake as you alluded to.

Just to expand on this... recall how long it took for ORD to record its first measurable snow this winter.  So there were no early season snows for ORD to get out to an early lead (they'll typically do better than downtown early in the season, and sometimes way better).

Think it's pretty much safe to say that the current seasonal total at ORD of 32.8" will hold and be the final tally.

Congrats to the following 10 peeps for guessing the correct amount range of 30.1-35.0"...

@Chicago916 @michsnowfreak @Hoosier @Snowstorms @thomp2mp @Baum @weatherbo @Stebo @mimillman @TheClimateChanger

For the 2nd question ORD failed to breach the 8" snowstorm mark.  Out of the 10 members who guessed the correct seasonal snowfall range, only one member guessed NO for a 8" snowfall, and a big congrats to @TheClimateChanger for guessing that right, so you are the champion of the POLL thread. :beer:

Thanks to everyone who participated.
