I love it!

My apartment is very well insulated. I've had to have the A/C running full blast and these prices are even higher than they used to be. Plus I want that crisp fall weather and I just bought a nice $400 leather lambskin jacket I can't show off.

Definitely expecting a frost one of these next two nights if not both.  I’ve noticed my house is in a bit of a microclimate, it can be up to 5 degrees colder than the center of the small town nearby.   My neighborhood is in a bit of a bowl with hills to our north and west and we have a creek just to our south which must cause some cold air drainage at night

KBUF is at +12.2 for the month. Lake Erie as of yesterday was 67 degrees, highest before for the date was 64. So we are +3 above the previous all time record. The warmth this month is just insane. This likely finishes as the warmest October of all time by a fair margin.

What an absolutely insane number. If you work remote you could legit stay at the cottage before going south until November

Also, the second warmest year to date in Chicago. Might as well root for a mild end to the year to unseat 2012.

The real story there is that 6 of the top 10 warmest years have all been in the last 11 years, and all but 1 of the top 10 warmest years have been in the last 30 years.

Heard a couple rumbles of thunder as a developing line of showers/storms just rolled through.  Had a few brief periods of very large rain drops sprinkling down.  Picked up 0.01".

The system coming in on Sunday would be a really nice snow event if it were about a month or so later.  Looks like a cold driving rain on the way, with strong easterly surface flow.

Yep. Going to start paying for extended summer this weekend the bill comes due. Even the last 3 mornings in the low 40s have felt very cold compared to the 65+ morning lows that have been a common theme this autumn. I like the change into winter, I just dislike being cold, lol

Sunday is gonna be a great day to sit inside and watch football and listen to the cold rain beat against the eastern windows.  Good chance temps fail to get out of the 40s for most of the day, and 1-2" of icy cold rain still looking likely.  Great day for a slow cooking batch of chili in the ol' crock pot.
