Buckethead
Picked up another .5" in the last hour. It's not the heaviest rates ever but it's adding up. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

Buckethead
I cleaned my board after that last pic and picked up another 1.25" since then, bringing me to 5.75" now. Had some melting with the sun coming out so there's only about 4" on the ground. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

calculus1
Crazy dynamics with this system. All day snow blowing in Boone. Never any accumulation after sun came up, though, but the mood flakes were fantastic. Then, driving back down US 321, even witnessed snow/graupel at Cheek's Crossing outside Lenoir and between Lenoir and Taylorsville on NC 90. The crazy thing about this is that the temperature was at 50! That was a 15 degree difference from Blowing Rock to the bottom of the mountain, and yet the snow still survived the journey to the ground. I'm pretty sure that's the warmest ground temperature I have witnessed snow falling at. Crazy. And pretty cool. WxKnurd
Poured snow off and on down in Waynesville today. Pouring small flakes when I left the house to head back down to town and everything was covered in 10 minutes. Crazy April day.
wncsnow
Had some heavy snow and graupel showers all day near the outlets in Asheville. One even covered the grass in the FBRV with brief near whiteout conditions.

Buckethead
Just got home from JC. Just flurries now...we picked up another .75" for a total of 9". There's about 7.5-8" still on the ground in the yard. I'll try to get up and get some pics in the morning. That also makes this my best season since moving to WNC at 63.75". The nwf has been good this year!Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
WxKnurd
Came back from Waynesville and had 1/2” on the deck. An easy 2” for the event, probably close to 3” total if I had kept track of measurements throughout the day since I woke up. An overperformer when looking at the forecast for my area. Over 30” for the season at my new place and that’s just since Dec 28th when I closed on it.
Tyler Penland
Got home from the race last night to a solid half inch. Tack that into the half inch we had yesterday morning before it melted and I managed an event total of 1" which is my first measurable snowfall in April since moving here in 2015.Wild.Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk
Maggie Ace
The weekend snow was impressive even here in the Valley. I probably has at least a couple of inches, but no way of really knowing for sure. The heavier squalls would drop around a half inch or more then quickly melt after they passed yesterday. A couple of the squalls actually covered the driveway temporarily and those rates were likely an inch or more per hour. Looking like another shot of cold air could arrive in about 8 to 10 days.
Met1985
Im going to say I had 2 inches with a low of 22 this morning. For April 10th that is dang cold. Glad most saw some kind of winter weather.

Wlos said no rain until Thursday. NWS said 20 percent chance. Rained on and off all night and has not stopped raining today at all.
