The good news is that it looks like models underestimated the high pressure in the north. Could be the reason for the cooling trend in the 6z  models.

CAD always seems to come in stronger than modeled. That’s why I won’t buy the complete takeover by sleet east of the mountains just yet for any period of time.

This is me lazily asking the board what the expected showtime is tomorrow? Possibly an early finger of moisture to give us a few flakes? Will we get to see flakes without staying up until the wee hours?

Heading up to Lake Toxaway later this afternoon from Birmingham. Got a few buddy heaters and flashlights ready in case we lose power (fingers crossed we don’t).

Really looking forward to the trip. Transylvania county seems to be in a great spot of enhanced totals on just about all models. Will keep y’all posted on everything. Good luck to all!

I think we’ll be setting pretty good. It seems like all models are constantly showing 12-16 inches for the southern escarpment. Have a safe trip up.

Thanks neighbor! At the ripe old age of 41 it's difficult to stay up much later than that.
