2021-2022 Fall/Winter Mountains Thread

Fall Grand Entrance should include cool temps and foliage working down the mountain quite well. I'm guessing still above 3,000 FT though we have not been out yet. Will we have a separate Foliage thread this year?

Looking ahead, we may ski right before Christmas. Wed-Fri. Question is Saturday. Christmas is on a Saturday. Would the ski areas be ludicrous crowded (Saturday) or chill (family holiday)? I'm guessing typical Saturday. Can anyone advise?

Thank you and happy fall foliage!

Hi Folks. Moved back last weekend and have been cruising around this week. From Grandfather to Roan to Mitchell and the color has been very average. When the valleys change maybe it'll be better but not too impressed now.

Jeff, if the conditions are decent the slopes will be insanely crowded even on Christmas Day.

Was a great summer on the coast. Never got too hot, no canes, and the fishing and golf were incredible. Looking forward to the cool shot. Time to get into snow mode. First flakes will be Nov. 19 at 7:12 pm.

I am hoping it will be good coming up in Hanging Rock. It has been tough to get a good year up there recently. I guess I was just spoiled by my New England trip and also living up there for a bit.
