The GEF-based PNA is in free-fall, while the NAO climbs and holds static in a positive .25 to 1 SD mode ... essentially for the next 2 straight weeks.

The convergence of those and doing so at length, are not exactly constructing 'chilly' thoughts.

Then, the operational guidance, et al, over night look historic now with heights everywhere, south of 50.

Some distant whispers of seasonal change might be more evidenced in the EPS mean.  Persistently wants a strengthening polar branch ... mushing it snuggily over top said heights running along southern Canada in the ext..

Today’s Long Range GFS kind of shows that look.

Whatever happens should be done by Saturday morning.  Maybe half the day is meh at worst? At least how it looks now. It could change.

My daughter's 4-times postponed (coronavirus) wedding is slated for Friday night in Annapolis.  I hope this thing stays off shore.

So they were way early,  doesn't make this year way late

Thats the same thought I had, ha.  They are later than a drought stressed Stein summer.  Shocking?

I just looked through my Instagram feed and it seems pretty normal to past mid-September’s.  Hard to tell, it’s just general early color.  It becomes more apparent if early or late in the beginning of October.

I looked back at last years posts. Last year many places were 25% + changed already with the drought and cool weather. This reminds me of 2001

It’s a AN pattern by end of this week  , not hard to see

CPC 6-10 day and 8-14 day charts are a sea of red East of Rockies

Overnite lows look well AN after Tuesday for ASH

Wasnt spin Doctor, I was showing MTD

I was in a supermarket parking lot in Sarasota Florida, about 20 years ago and this group of teenagers, walked up to me and asked, “are you the singer from the Spin Doctors?”
My GF laughed and I just kind of stared at them with a furrowed brow.
