We better have Scooter tell Josh it’s no big deal here.  She gonna fill quickly and be just a few breezy showers.

You should read my earlier posts about where the impact is. I said srn CT coast, RI and maybe adjacent SE MA. That is where high impact looks likely in terms of winds. Rains? Probably where you are. Ukie would give you winds and much less of an issue for Kevin.

How much winds would the Ukie realistically give us on the south coast? It looks like a 995mb storm upon impact.

Eww...   If this thing were to RI and expand ( no, that doesn't mean Rhode Island), essentially becoming a very prominent physical reflex in the total synoptic field ... that can and likely would reflect in modeled track guidance.   Sucks, this thing's capacity for mayhem is in a sense, hiding in plain site -

I large Category 3 hurricane interacts with a weak U/A steering field differently.

I was just busting chops/having some fun a bit…no offense intended.

Nobody really knows where this goes in yet. I do think that CT is in a precarious spot now with regard to the goal posts where they seem to be setting up.

Shoreline and coastal plain, yes. Tolland-Union mountain chain, not so much. Inland winds with these systems are usually overdone.

You know how it works in the interior though. We get 35mph gusts with leaves on the trees and weenies start estimating 60mph+ when a rotten branch falls.

Agree. But where you are in CT matters a lot.
