Yes. Happily fully recovered.  I mean, I am overweight and was doing physical work in the sun during peak heating, but once I went inside to cool off and rest I checked the temperature and I'm like, it's only 83!?

I can't deal with low 70s dewpoints at any temperature, unless I'm not moving at all.

Yes I’m a field geologist for an engineering firm in Minneapolis. I spend about 80% of my days outside. Ice water and frequent breaks in my trucks AC have been my only respite.

At least you got AC in your truck. This weather is brutal for those of us that work outside. Today is the worst here thus far. Of course, dealing with super cold isn’t easy either...

Was just outside for the annual town garage sale. Had pop up showers and Thunder going around us for awhile and it finally started pouring on top of us.

Mowed the lawn yesterday with the tractor and was worried the grass would dry out. So this current down pour is very nice.

Finally heard some thunder activity.

Only took til June 11th around here lol

Might the IWX warning-less streak come to an end tonight?

MKX also issued their first SVR warnings of the year today. No reports in the area, though. Like all the other "rain" events this week, just a brief sprinkle in MBY. Pretty unusual (and depressing) to go through an entire spring without even one good gully-washer of an MCS here...and no prospects of such for the foreseeable future.

2 weeks ago today on May 28th the high was 48 degrees.  Seems completely unfathomable after the past few days with mid 90s and heat indices over 100 degrees.

You would think with that type of swing something interesting would have had to have  occurred in that two week span but zzzzzzz

Over the past week I've been constantly dodging all the rain that has surrounded me including what must have been a torrential downpour just 20 miles to my south Weds evening. Either the cell splits and I'm in the middle, or like yesterday a cell formed nearly on top but the heavy precip was a minuscule 1/4 mile away from me!  Then the line of weak showers weakened where I just got light sprinkles by evening (not even 1 mm). Those light showers that I was suppose to get overnight? Nothing ;). Today's precip where it looked like a rainy, crappy day - removed and its bright and sunny with high temps once again :lmao:. This is getting neat.

Today is the 6th 90+ degree temp at ORD this month.

This is only the 3rd time that there have been 6 days AOA 90 in the first 12 days of June, the other years being 1933 and 1963.  You have to remember that way back when, the official observation site was located quite close to the lake compared to now.  But this is still a pretty impressive stat as the official observation site for the city has been located well inland for about the past 80 years.
