A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible later Sunday with
the primary hazard being brief locally damaging wind gusts. Greatest
risk will be across Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, including
Cape Cod and the Islands.

Record heat in the tri-state!

*JFK tied the record high of 94, while Bridgeport broke their previous record of 85.

Too much cloud cover today for more than 82F.  Had a few very light rain showers around midday, don’t even think it was measurable rain to be honest.  All it did was add low level humidity it seemed.

Oddly today at 80-82F with dews near 60F felt just as summery or more so than near 90F with dews in the 40s.

:stein:comes through on the 18Z GFS next weekend.  Id take that blocking high and southern solution rather than a washout.  Probably wrong  but hope it's right.

Yeah we mentioned that this morning. Euro moved that way too .You can see huge suppression as a legit option. It fits the last 6 months overall

Monday as a drier and much cooler airmass settles overhead post cold

front. Dewpoints will be back down in the 30s and 40s, while

temperatures are much cooler through the column. 850 mb temperatures

that were +15C on Sunday will be down in the 1-3 C range, giving

surface highs that don`t exceed the upper 60s (closer to the coast)

and low 70s (inland)
