You know that it will either be a small event or nothing at all. Since moving to the Raleigh area I haven't seen over 2 inches of snow. That is 3 years so far.

It is very hard to get a significant event here that is for sure. A 6 inch+ event happens probably a couple of times a decade at best.

Crapfest here.  Ground is white but less than an inch.  Sleeted most of the day but never at a heavy rate.  Sad thing is we actually had real winter storm temperatures for a change. Started out at 21º this morning and after lunch it slowly climbed to what it is currently, 28º.  Congrats to all who scored enough to make it worth the time tracking.

Really disappointed that this one couldn't squeeze anything out for the Triangle. I miss snow soooo bad. I had no idea moving here it would be so snowdry :(

I grew up in Fayetteville and remember being so angry seeing kids in Raleigh missing school for snow while I had to go in a cold rain.  I now live in Raleigh, and I can really only remember two big snow events over the last 15 years.  We are due for something good.

Cliff diving this weekend should be great when we get that 33 degree rain in Central NC again.

Got a warning for posting a valid opinion in the storm thread. Just because people don't want to hear it doesn't make it banter. Haha. Anyways.

Just complain in here.  You will have the backing of other RDU posters like me.  I’ve about had it with 34 degree rain and the ridiculous NW trend.  We are due for something good!
