I hear ya man. I was right up the road from you. Watched that one promising storm fall apart over Florence. Looks like we are done around here as the other rain showers further south and west look to be struggling.

It looked interesting for a short time. Logistically, I couldn’t go too far east or southeast since I have obligations in Oklahoma tomorrow morning. At least I was able to bail before it got too late in the day.

this is literally a few minutes after someone called bust

I just don't understand the mindset behind calling bust every 3 minutes.  I completely recognize that no one wants a violent day, but a couple people were calling bust around 11:30 on 4/27.  It's really tiring to read in every single outbreak someone calling bust just to, what?  Pretend like they're better at forecasting than the pros?  I don't get it.

This has got to be a violent, major league tornado. Definitely don’t see radar images like this often

Seeing hues of colors on the velocity sigs that I don't know I've seen before

I know spotter icons are not necessarily accurate to the timing but I will note this doesn't look very good either. I hope we don't get news in a couple days of more chasers being killed by a tornado.

Please stop.

Storms keep trying south of Jackson/west of I-59 but nothing has really taken root there so far. They had a lot of heating this morning though (relative to AL) and surface winds should back with time. Good chunk of eastern MS remains in the 15% hatched MDT risk.

oh my god.

DISCUSSION...An intense tornadic supercell located over Hale County will likely remain unimpeded as it moves to the east-northeast across central AL during the next 1-2 hours. The near-storm environment is currently primed across central AL with 0-1 km SRH at 600 m2/s2 per observed storm motion according to the KBMX VAD. Given the very moist/strongly sheared environment, expecting a long-track intense (EF3+) and potentially violent tornado to continue east-northeast and reach the I-65 corridor over the next hour or so.
