Don't be dissapointed if the NAM comes in east of the GFS and EURO; we have already seen positives from it.

I agree Ray, I think its important to look at what the nam does the first 48 hours or so, to key in on any changes during this time period, as well as the srefs. Even more importantly is to line these up with current sat radar and wv to get a sense if its being realistic, looks spot on regarding real time.

Yeah check out the gfs..see that "line" of vorticity? That is due to speed shear. This means we have a strong jet diving on the backside of the trough. Strong jet on the backside of the trough means it will dig or carve to the south or southeast. You don't want the junky crap on the eastern side of the trough.
