Yeah, it gets back to areas of banding often setting up NW of where the raw model QPF output suggests. That’s why this is always discussed in NWS AFDs.

It is just sitting there. Really unexpected.

 

And the snow almost looks like it does right before it changes to rain big big flakes except it’s fluffy not wet hey
