Oops. I just realized I was looking at a different locations forecast and not for my area. For me it says high near 32 with 3-5.

Looks like the areas that missed out yesterday will cash in a bit tomorrow and the areas that got hit good yesterday will get less. Basically every model has .20 qpf for my area.

I was in Poughkeepsie yesterday and you definately didnt get that much compared to what I received and I am about 20 minutes east.

I'm over 30 for the month. After yesterday the driveway banks are shoulder to over the head high and cleaning the driveway is a heckuva project but at this point I say bring it on. If it's gonna be a pita it might as well be a big one.

Slightly. Up here over to the Bronx maybe adds up to 1" and the real accum starts around the Tappan Zee and CT coast. It's in the mid teens here now, sad that we'll most likely have rain tomorrow on southerly winds. Maybe we can have it be a couple degrees colder and the 1" can at least work out. But there's plenty on the ground now-deep winter for sure and it'll be around for a while regardless.

The radar returns in southern Ohio indicate the precip. shield is slightly south of where the 18z NAM and recent HRRR runs showed it (and very sightly south of the 0z NAM). If that translates eastward it might help areas along the southern edge of forecast snow.

A couple more ticks south are possible. Dense cold airmass in place with deep snow cover.

Ratios up here will be closer to 15:1.

With how dense the cold is and the snow pack, I wouldn't be surprised is the rn/sn lines shift south, as perhaps where the LP pops does as well.

I think the issue for NYC/LI is more lack of precip than temps.

Doubt there is plain rain tomorrow in the Bronx or even the North Shore of LI

This reminds me of a January event several years back, where the LP virtually crossed LI and it was -Zn

Precip trajectory lot looking good for the city south. By the time the southern moisture plume meets up with the northern it wilL most likely be too late for the coast. Allot of wasted cold last night. KFOK got down to 6 last night, and with an onshore flow will rocket above freezing.
