Really weirdly, Charlottesville had like 16+ inches for Snowquester (which I think was 2013).

16 inches of the wettest, slushiest snow I've ever seen.

Yeah, I meant to say 2013, my bad!

All snow now in Crofton, 34F. Big, aggregate, clumping flakes. At least not the wet mangled variety we had earlier.

Diabatic cooling effects due to both evaporation and melting happening right in front of our eyes. So very cool to observe.

Woke up at 0600 w/rain just NW of Vienna.  Woke up again at 0720 with sn+.  Wasted .14" with the rain.  Temp down to 32 now and ripping.  Approaching 1" already.

Reminds me of the Nov 1987 event that caused chaos around DC.  This is going to look spectacular in a couple of hours the way it's sticking to everything.

They actually cancelled in-person classes that day at UVA.

In March!

Trying to walk through that was basically impossible. And I remember how my back felt after shoveling my old sidewalk and drive. Just brutal. Everything was so heavy.

So the folks Northwest who whined and complained all week, at times making this board unreadable due to the micro-aggression and in-my-backyard-only weather analysis,  are the ones who are once again getting accumulating snowfall.  So predictable.

Agree with PSU that it is sad in the sense that it’s heavy snow and I am at 1550’ and I am still only 31°.

Having said that, I am going outside until it stops and going to enjoy the sh@& out of it.

Approaching 5 inches and puking snow.  NW of Staunton (if you all didn’t know by now)

Wishing all the best luck to all you posters and lurkers and weenies like me.  There is something wrong with us to be so obsessed with frozen precipitation, but I love it!
