Interesting how the stationary band follows the topography of N Passaic and Morris Counties. Could be a little topographical enhancement going on. And then a little downsloping to the west. The mesos have been hinting at this for the past few days.

18.3 would move this storm to 10th largest snowfall in NYC. Number 9 is 19.0 January 26-27, 2011

That number 9 storm was awesome. I lived on 64th and CPW at the time. Major over-performer with 3 or 4 claps of thunder. I Jeb-walked with my dog every hour from like 11 pm until 3 am. The city was silent and beautiful.

11.5" here. Light snow,  31F.

12.1" here now. Solid low-end MECS territory, if it were to be over. I thought we would receive 14-18" total (that band clearly developed 15 miles farther north, favoring N/C NJ into NYC).

However, it is possible we pick up an additional 1-3".

Now I'm really confused...is the total 16.3 or 18.3?!

also "we are all in this together" is a cliche, clearly certain outcomes affect some a lot more than others.

"The median income for a household in the township was $136,174, and the median income for a family was $146,254."

godspeed, Mendham.

traditional climo as we know continues to be rendered irrelevant, the weak sauce history of -AO / -PNA combo snowstorms this time of year was really taken to the wood shed
